1. Who We Are
Equestrian- Horse & Riding Log is an equestrian platform that helps riders track rides, monitor safety, manage horses, connect with other equestrians and organise training and care.
Horse profiles (name, breed, age, photos, vaccination records, licenses, notes and other care information you choose to add)
Messages, photos, comments and other content you post or share in chats, groups or on rides
Contacts you choose to invite for Safety Tracking or group collaboration
Support requests and feedback
2.2 Information collected automatically
Location data – When you start a ride or enable Safety Tracking, we collect precise GPS location, speed, elevation, distance, route and movement data from your device. Location is only collected while a ride is active or Safety Tracking is enabled.
Device and technical data (device model, operating system, unique device identifiers, app version, IP address, crash logs and diagnostic data)
Usage data (features used, ride statistics, challenges completed, achievements, time spent in the App)
2.3 Information from third parties
If you sign in with Apple, Google or another third-party service, we receive basic profile information permitted by that service. We may also receive information from payment processors if you subscribe to Premium features.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
Provide, operate and improve the App (ride tracking, statistics, gait analysis, horse management, calendars and groups)
Enable Safety Tracking so that your chosen contacts can follow your live location and receive alerts if you stop moving
Power social features (chat, sharing rides and photos, community connections)
Deliver Challenges, achievements and progress insights
Send important service notifications (safety alerts, account notices, product updates)
Process Premium subscriptions and payments
Analyse aggregated usage to improve performance and develop new features
Detect, prevent and address fraud, abuse or security issues
Comply with legal obligations
Location data note: Precise location is used only for active rides and Safety Tracking. We do not continuously track your location in the background when you are not riding or when Safety Tracking is turned off.
4. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK users)
Where required by applicable law, we process your personal data on the following bases:
Contract – to provide the services you request
Consent – for precise location access, marketing communications and certain optional features (you may withdraw consent at any time)
Legitimate interests – to improve the App, ensure security and prevent abuse, balanced against your rights
Legal obligation – when we must comply with applicable laws
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only in the following situations:
With your chosen contacts – when you enable Safety Tracking or invite people to groups/shared calendars
With other users – content you deliberately share (rides, photos, profile information visible according to your privacy settings)
Service providers – trusted companies that help us operate the App (cloud hosting, analytics, crash reporting, payment processing, customer support). These providers are bound by contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations
Legal requirements – when required by law, court order or to protect the rights, safety or property of Educational apps LLC, our users or the public
Business transfers – in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the services. Ride data, horse records and other content remain available until you delete them or delete your account.
After account deletion we remove or anonymise personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain certain information for legal, security or accounting purposes.
7. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure. These include encryption in transit, access controls and regular security reviews. No method of transmission or storage is 100 % secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate data
Delete your data or account
Restrict or object to certain processing
Receive a copy of your data in a portable format
Withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing)
You can manage many of these rights directly in the App (profile settings, privacy controls, location permissions). For other requests, email us at quiz.dev2020@gmail.com. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.
You may also control location access through your device settings. Disabling location services will prevent ride tracking and Safety Tracking from functioning.
9. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 16 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under this age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
10. International Data Transfers
Equestrian- Horse & Riding Log operates globally. Your data may be processed in countries outside your own, including countries that may not provide the same level of data protection. Where we transfer data from the EEA, UK or other regions with transfer restrictions, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or other approved mechanisms.
11. Third-Party Links and Services
The App may contain links to third-party websites or services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will notify you through the App or by email and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
